Da ich aktuell noch Opera 12.16 verwende, weil unter Linux keine neue stabile Linux-Version von diesem Browser in Sicht ist, dachte ich mir, es wird an der Zeit sich die Alternativen Chromium und Firefox etwas genauer anzusehen.
Da aus meiner Sicht – als Opera-Anwender – diese Browser „nackt“ etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig sind, habe ich einige Extensionen ausprobiert und getestet. In unterstehenden Liste steht jeweils die Grundfunktion der Extensionen und dann der Name samt Link. Opera in der Liste steht hierbei für Opera Blink – also die neue Generation.

Ihr könnt natürlich Vorschläge machen wenn etwas besseres gibt. Aber da es massenweise Extensionen gibt, sollte sich die Liste auf das wesentliche – auf die Bedienbarkeit als Opera-Anwender – beschränken.
Hello there. Opera have integrated Adblock (urlfilter.ini), RSS Reader and User Script. Right mouse button on site > Site preferences > Scripts and find your script. Opera heve Multi Search in context menu too.

Yes, for the old Opera Presto but not Opera with Blink engine.
Opera Blink have not integrated RSS Reader, Adblock and User Script.

Although I suggest to install some different extensions for Firefox to restore the functions of the Opera:
– For content blocking, I suggest the classic AdBlock Plus with (if someone need this) some extensions, which will extended the functionality of the AdBlock Plus.
– For mouse gestures, the better will be FireGestures
– For RSS, Opera fans should use Brief
– For Speed Dial, well, there’s two extensions which I will recommend. First is Super Start and second is Fast Dial. Opera fans will need just to decide which one should they use 😛

Since AdBlock Plus went over to the dark side, sells the space for „acceptable ads“ and overwrites the user setting to not display them on updates, registered the generic term AdBlock as trademark and actively fights other extensions that use the generic term with takedown notices, I would recommend uBlock origin instead.
